Case Study: Vizio x NFL

Challenge:

Create a consumer engagement platform within the sports industry that champions the company brand message of "Vision Meets Value."

Solution:


We created the VIZIO Top Value Performer (TVP) award, an unofficial NFL award that recognized 5 players that whose on-field performance most outpaced the value of their contract. Each finalist provided VIZIO with 2 hours of media & 4 social media posts, in exchange for a TV and $1,000. Fan voted for the winner via the VIZIO website & social media. The winner was given $10,000 and executed a 2-hour national media tour at the Super Bowl.

Results:

• Low-cost organic endorsement by 50 NFL players in 10 years

• 50+ news features (WSJ, CNBC, & NY Times) & 1.3M fan votes per year

• Average KPIs: $750K in sales / 10k new emails / 10k social followers

Case Study: TaylorMade x San Diego Padres

Challenge:

Carlsbad-based TaylorMade Golf was looking to leverage their 3-year advertising partnership with the San Diego Padres to drive awareness of the newly released R11 driver.

KPIs: Media Coverage, Impressions and Equivalent Ad-Value.

Solution:


Create a giant 88-foot replica TaylorMade R11 driver and attach it to the right-field foul pole (in fair territory) of Petco Park. Leverage TaylorMade athlete Natalie Gulbis for a media event prior to the game unveiling the in-stadium integration. Finally, attach a charity-based donation for every home-run “drive” sent over the right field fence.
